Where to Play Frans Steyn?

That's the big question being asked by Sports Illustrated in this month's issue.

What do you think? Flyhalf, Fullback, Centre or Wing? And is Scrumhalf too far-fetched?

I'm sorry to say that Dick Muir has turned probably SA's most promising player into a utility back. And that's where he'll be used for the Springboks, off the bench as an impact player. He won't play inside centre because of Jean de Villiers' new found form and it'll be tough for him to crack the nod at number 13 ahead of Waylon Murray, even though Muir favours the young Steyn ahead of Murray.

Fullback is totally out of the question because Conrad Jantjes is the obvious choice. I don't think Peter de Villiers will trust the young Steyn at flyhalf.
